Golden Square Digital is one person. Me. I live in Bendigo and I build websites for Bendigo businesses, same-day, flat price, no agency choreography.

I started this because every quote a Bendigo café or trades business gets from a Melbourne agency is six grand and six weeks, and that’s wrong for what most of you actually need. A one-page website that loads fast, ranks for “Bendigo plumber” or “View Street café” or “Eaglehawk hairdresser,” and lets a customer tap-to-call you — that’s a one-day build on the right stack. Not a quarter-long project.

Why same-day works

The Lightning model strips three things every agency layers on:

1. Discovery phase. I don’t need three workshops to understand a Bendigo bakery. We have coffee, you tell me what your customers ask for, I take notes. 90 minutes, sign-off by 10am.
2. Project management. No PM ringing me about your project. I am the project. I build, I ship, I bill.
3. Plugin / theme tax. Hugo and Cloudflare Pages do for $0 what most agencies bill $200/month for. Lower overhead, lower price, faster site.

Why I walked in instead of advertising

That’s the public proof of capacity until the first paying clients land — and it’s the only honest substitute I could think of for a portfolio I haven’t built yet. I’d rather meet 250 business owners on Hargreaves Street than pay Google for clicks. Walking is slower and cheaper and works better in a town this size.

What I won’t do

• I won’t pretend to be a team. Solo is the entire pricing model.
• I won’t build outside Bendigo. The same-day promise dies the moment I’m driving to Echuca or Castlemaine.
• I won’t take on enterprise jobs that need a project manager. If you need a 12-week build, I’ll point you to someone good in Melbourne.
